Well hello and welcome, we all hope you will take the time out to listen to Hayes FM as often as you can, we are, after all your Local station so tell us what you think about the service.

As for me well my roots in radio date back to 1972 and Hospital Radio. I wanted to get into Radio on a proffesional basis and then as now Hospital Radio was a very good introduction. Radio Hammersmith not surprisingly based at Hammesmith Hospital gave me my first chance.

After that came an opportunity to be involved at the beginning of a new Hospital Radio being set up at St Bernards Hospital in Ealing. This was at the time the second biggest Mental Health Hospital in Europe and in no time we were broadcasting to over 2,000 patients and staff. Many of the Patients were sadly in hospital for months even years so we really were their Local Radio and they got very involved in our Broadcasts. This was a truely fantastic experience for me meeting lots of interesting people along the way. We then started broadcasting to the new Ealing Hospital and changed our name to Ward Radio. St Bernards started closing down, as medical opinion of the benefits of these large Hospitals changed.

After being there for 25 years I decided to take a break but it was not to be for long as in 2000 I got involved in Hospital Radio Hillingdon where I am still heavily involved to this day.

As for my professional aspirations, well lets just say I never had the courage to give that a go.

Now what else can I tell you, well I play golf really badly. I have often been told that I must have gone to the Army School of Golf as my shot always seem to go right, left, right you can imagine the rest. Lets just say I get true value from my rounds exploring parts of the Course others never knew exisited and seeing lots of the local Wild life.

I am a great Cricket fan and played a bit in my younger days, love Football and Snooker. I am married with two kids who are nearly old enough to be self sufficient, but not quite.

Thanks for reading and keep listening I present the sports show on Saturdays starting at 2.00pm and some of the weekday preogrammes as well, when the need arises
