July 2009 - Miles of Smiles
Now you may or may not know, but June and July was NATIONAL SMILE MONTH, a nationwide campaign to make us all aware about our teeth, and how best to take care of them. Locally in the BOROUGH OF HILLINGDON, the PRIMARY CARE TRUST has been running a MILES OF SMILES CAMPAIGN and COMPETITION, with a particular emphasis on promoting good healthy teeth amongst YOUNG PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN That campaign is also running into JULY..
..and guess what, Hayes FM would also like to get our teeth into this subject!!..and try and answer some of the questions you may ask...

Community Cancer Care
A new project has started in the borough of Hillingdon to support people with cancer access services within the NHS. The project is being run by the COMMUNITY CANCER CENTRE in Yiewsley. Rachael Yearwood and Caroline Humphrey came into our studios to talk to Gordon Baxter on the MID MORNING programme.
