30/09: 91.8 HAYES FM success stories

1 YEAR ON and 91.8 HAYES FM continues to celebrate the sucess of many of the people who have come through our doors.

Part of Hayes FM's radio remit is to support people's TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. People come to 91.8 from all walks of life, with their own stories to tell. They can be people who may just want to improve their confidence and communication skills or who want to work in radio, be it in presentation, production and journalism or people who want to train up to play their part in effecting positive change for our area. And they are of all ages and backgrounds, from our area to the surrounding areas, from schools, colleges and universities... being the difference, making the change!!

The important thing is 91.8 Hayes supports people's TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT and we can do it at different levels, from mentoring through to an accredited learning programme, or by just providing a platform for a person to move forward, each to meet the needs of the individual, and because of what we do and the way we do it, our success stories continue.

Below I have outlined some of our recent successes.

Danny Deol: Used to present our South Asian focused programmes. Recently received a major volunteers award for over 500 hours of volunteering. In addition, Danny has secured work at a Digital radio station, Asian FX,that broadcasts across the Midlands.

Sangeeta Pandey: Came to Hayes FM and presented the Mid morning, since then she has secured a number of freelance journalism contracts and PR work.

Hollie Atherton: Came to Hayes FM on a work experience back in June, and again in August. Recently she has secured weekends at BBC Oxford. She can still be heard on Hayes FM delivering news and the odd presentation.

Pavan Verma: Came to Hayes FM back in September of last year, and developed our website, as well as delivering a number of presentation roles. Since leaving Pavan went to work for a national indian radio station that is now in the UK, Zee Radio, and currently is Head of Production at the National Business Channel.

RamRaj Gogna: Came to Hayes FM on work experience back in August, and since coming to us has secured work in Television.

Other success stories include Raj Pander whose at the BBC Asian Network, and Darren Brooker who is currently in Arist Management.

In addition, Hayes FM continues to provide advice on preparing media CV's, completing job application and producing demo tapes for radio, and Hayes FM has countless testimonials to support it.

More success stories in due course no dount!!
